The Boiler Shop was built in its entirety sometime between 1904 and 1911, likely late in that period.
This is where the EBT performed cutting, forming and shaping of steel sheets of many sizes and thicknesses. It includes rolls, a forge, shears, punch and welding machine. The 285 steel hoppers, 20 steel or steel frame boxcars, 23 steel flatcars, 2 steel frame cabooses and 1 weight test car would all have been fabricated here. It is also known that at least two EBT locos of the past were reboilered here.
The boiler shop is in better condition than the Machine Shop, but is missing most of its windows.
