Although conventialy reffered to as the Boiler Shop, this wing is more appropriately a sheet metal shop. It is unlikely that any boilers were produced here as the size and assortment of machinery is insuffcient for boiler construction.

In this shop sheet metal was cut, punched, formed and selded for a variety purposes. The steel for the construction and reconstruction of the EBT's steel car fleet would have been fabricted here before being installed in the Car Shop.
