The Hostpital track and pit is used emergency repairs and other unplanned work. As the locomotive serviced on this track is usually in service, the track is equipped with a smokejack to carry away the smoke from a hot locomotive. The track is long enough to accomodate any of the EBT's mickado locomotives.

As with the Maintenance Track, this track is serviced by the Transvers Jack for removing and reinstalling wheelsets.
