Curfman

Mile Mark: unknown
Elevation: unknown
Date: unknown

Curfman was a coal operation known to be operating late in the operation of the Rocky Ridge Branch, the proprietor being F. A. Curfman. Curfman warrented a stub ended siding that shows up on the 1917 valuation map of the EBT.

Curfman was one of only two mines still producing here when the branch was damaged by floodwaters in 1936. That coal had to be towed across the damaged Evanston trestle and was likely the last traffic on the branch.
