This small grinder was located here in the Machine Shop to conveneintly sharpen tools after use in one of the machine tools. The tools are the replacable part of the machine that actually removes material from the work piece. In the days before or "High Speed Steel" or carbide tipped tools, regular hardened steel tools were used which needed more frequent sharpening.
