Second #3 was a standard gauge 0-6-0 switcher for use in Mount Union. Although it's time on the EBT overlapped that of Second #2, it appears to have taken over the duties of that locomotive. It was in turn replaced by Third #3 which was purchased new from Baldwin.

This locomotive was purchased second hand, having been originally constructed by the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie for the Pittsburgh, McKeesport and Youghiogheny Railroad (a shell company that owned B&LE's southern mainline.) The locomotive came to the EBT in 1911 via an equipment broker. She had a fairly short service life on the EBT being sold in 1922 to Harleigh-Brookwood Coal Company. ^G1. H-B Coal operated in the Anthracite (hard coal) coal region of Pennsylvania. Their primary operations during the time this locomotive would have been in use was in Harleigh, PA, just north of Hazleton. The disposition of the locomotive after service at H-B Coal is unknown.
