In late 1999 several fishplate bolts were torched off the rail of the EBT main and Freight House siding in Robertsdale. The work was to allow the rail to be temporarily removed such that new sewer and water connections could be run to the old Rockhill Iron and Coal Office (now housing the Robertsdale post office). Apparently a single section of each rail was removed for the work and replaced when done. The fishplates were back in place by December but as of April 2000 have not been bolted.
