This speeder was known and "Big Jim" during its days at the EBT during common carrier service. The origin of the name is not known. It is a wood car but has a steel and glass windscreen. This car was sold from the railroad to a collector at an unknown date, but likely in the 70's or early 80's.The car was purchased by the FEBT in 2005 from a collector in North Carolina. The car was returned to the railroad in time to be displayed for the 2005 Spectacular. In short order the car was made operatby with engine tuning and a replacment leather belt. The car provided a filming platform for the maiden run of the EBT's M-3. The car remains operable but is in need of pisting rings as it has a tendency to foul its spark plug with oil.
