M-6 is a model JDT Plymouth and is similar to but slightly larger than M-4. It has a six cylinder Caterpillar D333 diesel engine. Where she came from is unknown, but is surely from a Kovalchick Acqusition sometime beetween 1987 and 1992. It wears yellow on the cab and cowling with black frame and lettering.
She did most MOW and yard switching chores until about 1999, when she was sidelined, reportedly with transmission or clutch issues. She was stored in the Car Shop on track -1, near "Dumbo". In early 2005 when M-7 was sidelined with electrical issues onone end, M-6 was removed from the Car Shop to be inspected. It was found that the clutch was out of adjustment preventing it from being fully engaged. This and some other issues were fixed and the unit was placed back in operation.
