EAST BROAD TOP RAILROAD'S 1999 FALL SPECTACULAR
OCTOBER 9 AND OCTOBER 10

The East Broad Top Railroad owned by the Kovalchick family of Indiana, PA, announces the schedule for the 1999 Fall Spectacular. Excursion trips from the original Orbisonia Station will begin at 9:30 A.M. and continue through 4:40 P.M. Four of the EBT's seventy to eighty year old steam locomotives, (#12, #14, #15 & #17) will operate single and double headed, pulling a variety of trains throughout both days. An informative announcement will be given aboard each train. Among the unique trains to operate is an authentic EBT Shade Gap Picnic Train, consisting of all open cars and a caboose that will run throughout both days. The historic M-1 Gas Electric Car, built on site in the EBT shops will make a rare trip at 2:00 P.M. both days. Tours of the shops in which the M-1 and much of the EBT's rolling stock was built will be offered several times each day ($5.00 per tour, per person). The Night Train, a popular once a year event, will depart at 6:45 P.M. on Saturday. Thirty-five trains are scheduled to operate during the two day event.
